Last month, thousands of students from across the UK collected their GCSE and post-16 exam results. The outcome for UTCs was really encouraging and showed some excellent destinations for the class of 2017.
Lord Baker, Founder of the University Technical Colleges programme and Chairman of Baker Dearing Educational Trust said:
These impressive technical qualifications are a testament to the hard work and commitment of students, staff and employers at UTCs across the country. I wholeheartedly congratulate every student in what they have achieved.
I am particularly impressed with the continuous improvement in technical qualifications, which is very encouraging. UTCs are still a young programme in the education system but these results reinforce how important they are for helping to address the STEM skills gap.”
