UTC engineering students experience Nottingham Trent University

UTC students explored a variety of engineering pathways at Nottingham Trent University on 16 December.

Learners from Aston University Engineering Academy, UTC Derby Pride Park, and Lincoln UTC took part in activities and talks aimed at explaining the different engineering courses they could study at the university.

The activities included a computer-aided design masterclass and electronics workshop, while students also received a tour of the Clifton campus.

Baker Dearing’s CEO Kate Ambrosi and Senior Adviser Alex Hayes also had the opportunity to meet with NTU’s Head of UK Student Recruitment Ian McGowan and Schools and Colleges Liaison Manager Rowan Triffitt to discuss further opportunities for our organisations to work together.

We are immensely pleased with how our relationship with the university has developed so we may run engaging and informative events for UTC students. We are really excited to next year be hosting our Summer Conference for UTC leaders and governors at the Clifton campus.

Thanks to Nottingham Trent University for hosting the UTC engineering day.
