Baker Dearing is proud to publicly premiere our new film, ‘Opening Doors: Lord Baker’s Vision for University Technical Colleges,’ which features students, staff, employer partners and alumni discussing how they have benefited from the 44-strong UTC network.

Students from Elstree Screen Arts Academy were commissioned to produce this film to mark the growing success of the UTC programme in providing pipelines of talent into key sectors such as manufacturing and the media, while also supporting young people to progress onto fulfilling careers.

The film also celebrates the exceptional achievement of Lord Baker in creating the UTC programme, and coincides with him stepping up from the role of Chairman of Baker Dearing, to become its Life President.
