We were thrilled to welcome 60 attendees to yesterday’s launch of our Engineering and Manufacturing Professional Learning Programme!
It was great to see such a huge level of interest from engineering teachers and technicians from across England’s 45-strong UTC programme.
We were very pleased to hear from Andrew Ward, Director of Haas Automation UK and a Baker Dearing trustee. The generous support of the Gene Haas Foundation and Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 makes this programme possible, so our thanks to both organisations. And thanks to Andrew for speaking at the launch event.
Yesterday’s session introduced what is coming in 2026/27, why the programme has been developed, what UTCs can expect, and how they can get involved.
The programme has been shaped by the needs of engineering educators, current industry practice and employer expertise, bringing together opportunities to learn, connect and apply new ideas in your own setting.
Thanks to Olivia Saunders and Ayeesha Bhamji for putting together this year’s programme and delivering yesterday’s session.
UTC staff who want to find out what other CPD opportunities we have planned for the variety of specialisms in the programme are encouraged to regularly check our new Eventbrite page.
