After your initial training
Early Career Teacher (ECT) Year 1
You will receive high-quality, weekly mentoring from experienced and skilled practitioners with strong subject knowledge and pedagogical expertise. This support is built into your timetabled day and includes elements of instructional coaching to help you develop effective classroom practice.
Early Career Teacher (ECT) Year 2
You will benefit from a five per cent reduction in teaching timetable, providing dedicated time to further refine your skills and professional practice. Mentoring continues throughout the second year on a fortnightly basis, ensuring ongoing support as you grow in confidence and expertise.
